23.4.2012 Vice President today officially opened a multimillion
shilling Marakwet West Constituency Development fund (CDF) office in
Kapsowar township.
Addressing a mammoth crowd at the Kapsowar boys secondary school open
grounds Mr. Musyoka promised to ensure full and efficient
implementation of the new constitution.
He noted that the new constitution ensures proper utilization of the
country’s resources as well as peoples rights including rights to
shelter and affordable quality living.
The Vice president commended Pokot and Marakwet for shunning cattle
rustling and for resolving to co-exist peacefully.
He noted that peaceful coexistence amongst communities in the area
will pave way for development including proper education for children
in the area.
Mr. Musyoka stressed on the need for Kenyans to forgive each other and
embrace national healing and reconciliation as a means to realization
of peace and unity.
The Vice president urged residents of Elgeyo/Marakwet to welcome all
presidential candidates to the area and near what they intend to offer
to Kenyans.
‘’ Lets not gamble with our votes. We need to win this elections in
the first round, a clear victory without the need to go for second
round,’’
The meeting was also addressed by MP Boaz Kaino and former cabinet
minister Moses Akaranga among others.
